Interactive Brokers changes

I assume this is a good thing for US residents in Japan.

I'm currently use my Schwab and Fidelity accounts, but this sparked my interest.

That sounds great. I wonder if it is available abroad or just in the US?

I don't think other brokers that serve expats make a US/abroad distinction in their fees (mine doesn't), so I'd bet this will be uniform--same for everyone.

Maybe there'll be a knock-on effect, those other places also reducing fees to stay competitive?
