Many thanks for very informative site and aplogoes if these 2 basic questions have been answered elsewhere.
1: For the Tsumitate NISA, does it have to be invested monthly, or can the whole year's amount be invested upfront eg as bonus?
2: When is the NISA year calculated, is it 1 year from date account opened? Or by calendar year / tax year etc?
Many thanks in advance.

Re: NISA questions
You have to set up a monthly investment, but it's possible to make it a small amount such as ¥1000/mo, then pay the rest of the allowance as a single bonus payment.johnnyfromdeptford wrote: ↑Mon Jul 01, 2024 2:56 am 1: For the Tsumitate NISA, does it have to be invested monthly, or can the whole year's amount be invested upfront eg as bonus?
Note that the account called "Tsumitate NISA" was discontinued last year, and now there is a combined NISA with a Tsumitate portion.
