Any thoughts on this??
Our company (株式会社) has built up a sizeable amount of money in the bank account.
I am wondering if I should...
A. Open an IB or some type of investment account under the company name and place the funds into an index / ETF fund here in Japan.
or
B. Figure out if I can pay myself a bonus and then invest the money in my personal brokerage account in the US in my name.
This would entail remittance fee's and exchanging currency. Possibly a ding in taxes too.
US citizen so option A. somehow seems problematic even though it would be my first choice. Maybe it's not that compicated.
Any US citizens investing using company funds?
What structure / set up do you use? Why ?
