You don't have to bring a subset of the discussion from there here and represent it as all Bogleheads.
Not agreeing with recommendations to go all S&P500 is fair enough. Confusing that with Bogleheads is unhelpful.

S&P 500 is a bit narrow and US only, but has had fine long term performance. I have a fund from 2021 in it myself and I see it's up about 100%. I'm not selling it until the money is needed.
Unintentionally ominousAs for 2026 I don't think Trumpy will want to have elections with the stock market in this kind of state.
I bought 20 man of the Maxis All Country ETF at the low two days ago in my taxable. [Currently down -1.2%]. I'll wash it into the 2026 New Nisa for Emaxis. (Same index).eyeswideshut wrote: ↑Wed Apr 09, 2025 12:12 pm My portfolio is down about 12% right now. Anybody buying at these levels (outside of regularly scheduled tsumitate investments) or are people waiting to see how it plays out? I have been selling some of my gold (to rebalance back to my asset allocation) and using the proceeds to buy global stock ETFs but I am more nervous than usual these days and not ready to commit to any big investments. This time does feel a little different to me and I am more nervous than usual.
Absolutely! This a golden opportunity for anyone with spare cash. I love Ben's analogy earlier in this thread about the stickers being put on the fresh supermarket food at the end of the dayeyeswideshut wrote: ↑Wed Apr 09, 2025 12:12 pm Anybody buying at these levels (outside of regularly scheduled tsumitate investments)...?

Went 10% to cash in February, spent 1/10 of that on All-Country today in my/wife's NISA. Will slowly trickle it back in if things stay like this or drop.eyeswideshut wrote: ↑Wed Apr 09, 2025 12:12 pm My portfolio is down about 12% right now. Nicely timed. I sold some stocks and converted some USD to Yen around that time but wish I had done more. If only I could see the future!!Went 10% to cash in February, spent 1/10 of that on All-Country today in my/wife's NISA. Will slowly trickle it back in if things stay like this or drop.
