Not worth starting a new thread but some interesting comments from I assume people still in the UK and what they think particularly about the likelihood of means testing.

Our views as itinerant* foreign workers (or ‘expats’ for some..) are valid but those still in the uk will likely be closer to it.

The comparison with the Australia Age Pension comes up a fair bit and I was interested to learn that the Australian “Age Pension” doesn’t have an NI equivalent or the concept of qualifying years. Unless someone on Reddit was wrong!<clutches pearls>..

Do I personally think some form of means testing could happen in the UK. Sure. Do I think a dozen things need to happen ahead of that. Abso-bloody-loutly!

Fact. You aren’t an expat if you look at an electric bill.
