An L&G one. Yes, I might retire in the UK and I want to retain some assets denominated in Sterling.
At the very least, some of my children might end up at university in the UK which is going to require payment in pounds.
Anyone else thinking of dumping their BNDX holdings?

I checked, not L&G actually (all my equity trackers are L&G), actually it’s a Vanguard fund

Oh, I forgot - I have another one too, the timing in this was sub optimal in retrospect

Thanks, that's what I thought. So you hold them through a UK-based brokerage/platform?

Yep, Bestinvest.

Those funds have pretty long maturities.
I couldn't find their effective durations but I am guessing about 10 years judging by their holdings.
I'd be worried about the duration risk unless I planned to hold them for longer than that.
Would you switch to laddering of individual short-term Gilts just before or soon after retiring?
Re: Anyone else thinking of dumping their BNDX holdings?
I chose funds with long maturities as I wanted to lock in the yields, but obviously this has not worked yet as gilt yields have kept rising.
