numbers in Monex trading history don't add up

Post by Jansen »

Summary: bought some eMaxis slim S&P500 this year and sold them for a profit. The numbers in profit loss statement (売却損益明細) and the actual withdrawal statements (投資信託 約定明細) are off by 57 yen. Can anyone explain why?

Actual history.
I bought 1,000,000 yen worth of eMaxis slim S&P500 back in March, and another 1,000,000 yen worth in April. Then sold them in June for a total for 2,135,448 yen. I paid 20,746 yen in tax and received 2,114,702 yen in the end. This is based on the records in 保有残高・口座管理 > 取引履歴 and is the actual money that has changed hands.

When I looked at the PnL breakdown in 保有残高・口座管理 > 売却損益明細, the numbers are off by 57yen in my favour.

I have these 2 transactions.
350,055口 sold at 30,346円 for a total of 1,062,277円 at a profit of 67,350円
353,645口 sold at 30,346円 for a total of 1,073,171円 at a profit of 68,041円

The total profit of these 2 transactions is 135,391円, putting my initial costs at 2,000,057円.

So I actually received 135,448 yen in profit, but the PnL says I only made 135,391 yen.

I can't figure out where the additional 57 yen comes from.

Can anyone explain?

Is it just a quirk of the calculations going by lots whereas I actually only had fractionals in my account?

edit to add more info
This is a new account with no previous transaction history.
I made 2 separate deposits of 1,0000,000 yen each time before each purchase. As far as I can tell, I did not use any points during the purchases nor received any cashbacks.
So 2 deposits, 2 buy orders and 1 sell order in total.
I do have 126 points in my my account but they are untouched.

I suspect it's because they work on averages, not individual buys and sell lines
If you get the electronic contract note for the sell, you'll see their figures.
