Shinsei is popular with the expat community because of English support and the free withdrawals so if you only have a Yucho account, it would be superior.
Megabank? Yucho is Japan's second largest, and one of the world's biggest.

I think most services connect with it. No issue with Monex, Rakuten, paypay etc...

I did call Shinsei today to enquire if instead of Monex, Sbi securities will work towards the step up program and was told yes since it is now the same group.
