役付手当ーreason for being separated

can someone tell me what 役付手当is and why it is separate from the salary?　

is this handled differently for tax /pension purposes from the salary or just rolled into the same?

seems the same to me,so dont quite follow why separated..

I don't think that this has any different tax handling than the rest of your salary income. That is an additional salary payment based on your role in the company but the handling for other payments (e.g. is it multiplied in the bonus calculation? how is it contributing to retirement payout? etc.) will differ based on the company. We have these payments so that it is easy to give someone a boost to their salary when they take on a role (eg department head, specific regulatory role, etc.) and then take it away if they change positions in the company and no longer have the role.
