One is in all caps, but otherwise they seem to match.
Honestly, I don't know why I persist with Rakuten Bank. It was such a hassle to open an account, and there's no way to contact them. I probably shouldn't trust them with my money.

Changing Rakuten Card bank account
Hi everyone, Has anyone had experience changing the bank account associated with a Rakuten credit card? I'm trying to change it from my local bank to my new Rakuten bank account, but when I go through the online procedure on the Rakuten Card site, I get this message: temp_rakuten_cc.png I tried it f...

Re: Simple Q&A - iDeCo
Quick question just to check something for my peace of mind (sorry if this has already been asked): I applied for iDeco through Rakuten a while ago. Checking the website, my current status is "Step 4: 審査中(国基連) - 国基連にて審査中です" Yesterday, I got two things in the post from "JIS&T"...

Re: Subscriptions: Keep or Cancel?
Recently I noticed that I had been paying the rent for the HIkari-TV receiver (500 yen a month) for years without noticing (or rather, I forgot I was paying it). Ah, I know what that's like. I somehow signed up for a UK Amazon Prime subscription without realizing, and didn't notice for two years! :...

Re: Feeling pressured to get the roof painted
Thanks Jansen,
We haven’t yet done anything about the roof. Since starting this thread, our financial outlook has turned rather dire, and neither my wife nor I are confident about spending our savings on the roof right now.

Subscriptions: Keep or Cancel?
I’ve become somewhat of a minimalist, and subscription services are an area where I’ve made some hard choices. Some of you mind find these trivial, but the fees do add up, and I find too many subscriptions become a burden on my mind. In the past year I’ve cancelled: Netflix (¥12,000 a year), Apple M...

Rakuten Bank "Security Card"?
Hello! I've had my Rakuten Bank account approved and got a debit card through the post along with the First Time setup instructions. That's all good and I've competed the setup. But they also sent me a "Security Card" (same size as the debit card and has a grid of codes on the back). What'...
