Thematic ETFs in Japan - Global X?

Hi there, I've been tasked with investing money for my wife (Japanese) domestically through Rakuten :| and while I will recommend some of the popular Emaxis Slim funds, I was wondering if anyone has thoughts on some of the thematic ETFs done by Global X Japan. The fees are quite high (0.3 - 0.6%) bu...

Re: Buying US stocks from Japan.

https://www.firstrade.com/content/en-us/international I'm not in the market, but I had a look at that and if I was, it seems very much worth checking out, doing a point by point comparison with IB. A little late to the conversation, but I just tried to open a Firstrade account and was informed that...

Trademarks

Hello all, I was wondering if anyone has ever gone through the process of trademarking a company name or logo here? There are a lot of online services, but the ones I found charge between ¥80,000 - ¥100,000 (I'm guessing for lawyer fees). I read you can do it yourself through the Japan Patent Office...

Re: Cryptocurrencies

In reply to Yossarian about wallets.
I read Exodus was good and they told me that living in Japan wasn't a problem.

Re: Cryptocurrencies

No ADA on Bitflyer unfortunately. I keep on reading how Bitflyer was easy to sign up for, yet I can't get their KYC verification to work on my phone. Anyone else had this problem? I'd rather not have a Sagawa guy come to my house in three days to input the details from My Number Card into his mobile...

Re: Cryptocurrencies

Could I ask how you bought them?
Bitflyer and Coincheck have pretty limited choices.

Re: Stock tip subscriptions

I know, Looking through the comments of his reports he often nails it as well. Quite a few people confirm or often correct his deductions, which could save people $1000s in subscriptions. Is there anywhere in this forum where similar discussions take place that you know of? As I mentioned, I'm a mem...

Re: Stock tip subscriptions

Cheers for the recommendation. Just had a gander at some of his stuff; never really prioritzed dividends as I use a US brokerage and they get taxed twice, but some very interesting content. Free at 33? Good for him. I'm very late to taking my finances seriously, so maybe free at 99? Have you ever lo...

Stock tip subscriptions

I was wondering if anyone subscribes to any paid services for stock suggestions? I use Morningstar, Motley Fool Stock Advisor and Investorplace Innovation Investor and find all of them useful in different ways. I've tried Zack's, Tipranks and Motley Fool Rule Breakers, but only for a limited period....

Re: Buying US stocks from Japan.

Charles Schwab needs $25,000 to open an account unfortunately.

I'm finding Firstrade to be very good. Used them for a month now and no serious complaints.
