Once more unto the breach, my friends
In November 2021 we held the first RetireJapan Online Conference. It went better than I could ever have imagined. 500 people signed up (we had to close registration! Apologies to those who were not able to join us), we had five well-attended sessions, feedback was good, I had a fantastic time, and I think we proved that an online RetireJapan conference could be fun, useful, and popular.
So of course we are going to do it again next year.
RJConf2022
I’m guessing we’ll be planning this next summer, so here is what we know so far:
- the conference will be held on the same day (November 23rd: Labor Thanksgiving Day)
- it will not be free (there will be a nominal charge of 500 yen to cover costs)
- it will be bigger and better (more sessions, more types of sessions)
- formal talks will be recorded and will be freely available after the conference, Q&A sessions and workshops will not
There will be a larger capacity for the formal presentations next year but we are also hoping to run smaller group workshops, so if you are interested in receiving information about this before it is announced on the blog please sign up for the mailing list here. This list will only be used to send out information about the conference.
Hope to see you at RJConf2022 🙂
