NEWSFLASH: fees will go down on these 3 funds

Good news for everyone having money in one of the following funds, or considering putting money in one of them.

・eMAXIS Slim 全世界株式(オール・カントリー)
・eMAXIS Slim 全世界株式(除く日本)
・eMAXIS Slim 全世界株式(3地域均等型)

All of the funds' fees (currently 0.15336% each) will go down to 0.1296% from August 9th, 2019.

According to the writer of the article, Mitsubishi UFJ presumably made this decision to compete with the new たわらノーロード全世界株式 fund which also has a current fee of 0.1296%. Since the eMAXIS Slim funds are quite popular with the Retire Japan community, I bet a lot of you will be happy to hear this. Just wanted to let you all know :).

*Please note that the fees will probably go up a bit again when the planned tax hike will take place in October.

Thank you for good news,
(very dummy two questions) How can I check the constituents of each fund, and their chart history over 10 years of linked index funds without login?

There is usually an information pdf linked with the necessary information (called 交付目論見書). But there is no 10 year record as those funds are pretty new. For example the All country fund tracks the MSCI All Country World Index which is straight forward.

What mule96 said. To help you out a bit with your second question about the chart history of the indexes:

・eMAXIS Slim 全世界株式(オール・カントリー)
Tracks the MSCI ACWI and a chart dating back to March 2008 can be found here: https://finance.yahoo.com/chart/ACWI/

・eMAXIS Slim 全世界株式(除く日本)
Tracks the MSCI Kokusai and a chart dating back to December 2007 can be found here: https://finance.yahoo.com/chart/TOK/

・eMAXIS Slim 全世界株式(3地域均等型
This fund does not track a certain index. Instead it spread out its holdings over three indexes; the Topix Index (33%), the MSCI Kokusai Index (33%), and the MSCI Emerging Markets Index (33%).
You can find data of the separate indexes here:
Topix Index: just type 'Topix Index' into your google search bar and smash enter :P
MSCI Kokusai Index: https://finance.yahoo.com/chart/TOK/
MSCI Emerging Markets Index: https://finance.yahoo.com/chart/EEM/

Hope this helps! ;)

A further cut in fees of the same 3 funds from 0.132% to 0.1144% (both tax included). The new fees will go into effect on November 12th, 2019. We are indeed coming closer and closer to those 10 basis points. :P

I am wondering why they choose specifically this date: November 12th, why not November 1 or from December 1st.
And what is so special to start from Tuesday not Monday.
