Hi all,
Quite a simple question and one that I’m sure is answered in the many messages all over rakuten right now, but something that I’m not quite clear on.
I’ve just made the decision to invest the remainder of my nisa allowance for this year and noticed that nothing has been updated on rakuten since the start of the ten day holiday here in Japan. I’d like to get this done while I have some time, so went ahead and placed a few regular index orders anyway, at the rate they were at 6 days ago.
What happens on Tuesday when the markets all update and the stock value suddenly doesn’t match the price at which I ordered? Because I didn’t set a desired price and just did a regular order, will I get the rate as of today, the rate as of the start of the holiday period or whatever it ends up being on Tuesday the 7th?
Thanks! Enjoy the rest of the golden week all.

I believe if you didn't specify the price you'll get the first price when the markets open.

Thanks Ben! Just have to hope the markets go down and not up before then . I used a few rakuten superpoints too, but it seems they’ll be allocated a little later than the cash order.

It depends on when you placed an order for the index funds.
Most likely you won't get tomorrow's price either...I have an automatic transaction of index funds on the 1st of every month but for May my order will only be completed on the 8th.(The price at the end of the day)
If you use Rakuten, you should be able to see this on your order details as well. Look for the shopping cart icon, once you click on it you should be able to see your pending order details.
約定日 is what you are looking for in your order details.

Given trump's latest spanner in the gears, if you get the price at the end of the day (7th), you'll be getting a discount.
The 8th might be cheaper still, or maybe a little rebound...

Is that setup through Rakuten? I could do with something like that to make it automated.
My 約定日 is also the 8th (today). Looks like we got lucky with the timing (unless further drops are to come!).

Yes, it is setup through the Rakuten Credit Card (also gives points). You can read about it here: viewtopic.php?f=4&t=437
