SBI and siwtching
SBI and siwtching
I was wondering if any SBI iDeCo users have switched before? I am thinking of getting rid of EXE-i 新興国株式ファンド and was wondering about the cost and process? I am a beginner at this and misunderstood the switch and rebalance options on the website.

I've switched before. It's pretty simple really. Log into the ideco site in English. Make a note of which fund you want to buy. Then go to "Switching (Trade)" option towards the right of the screen. Then click on "switch products" and choose the fund you want to sell. Decide how much you want to sell, click on confirm. On the next screen you'll be asked which fund(s) you want to switch to. There are no fees, but you will miss out on any gains (or losses) while your money is being transferred.

Thank you. Did you also use Sbi? I wasn't aware that there was an English version of the site!

I use Rakuten, but my wife's ideco is with SBI. The English option is towards the top right of the login screen for ideco. All the fund names will still be in Japanese though. Good luck!

Awesome!! Thank you!

It's funny that you have to do the whole application process, including selecting the funds, in Japanese only, but when you finally get the account open you can use the English site. I understand why it's that way, although more English support during the application process would be great.
