Changing allocations

Post by crew »

I've been investing in NISA and what not, but iDECO seems to be a bit different animal. When I set my allocations, and change it later on, what happens to the old funds I purchased? For example, if I used to alot 10% to BRICs 90% TOPIX, then decided later on to make it 100% TOPIX, what happens to the BRICs fund? Does it remain there, and all subsequent purchases will be of TOPICS? Or will this be sold to make it 100% TOPIX?

You can do both. You can change your future allocation, but you can also rebalance the assets in the account, selling some funds and buying others.

Which platform are you on? I might be able to get some screenshots.
