I don't have a plan A :P

For now I'm just trying to keep my options open. I think the biggest issues are taxation, national pensions, where your investments are domiciled, and how far away you will be from friends and family.

My plan A is to stay here, possibly spending some months abroad each year once we can (I would like to miss summer and the allergy months in spring, for instance).

Plan B would be to move somewhere else I guess. Used to think this would be Spain or Germany, but with the Brexit mess these may not be options in the future. UK would do at a pinch, or maybe Thailand.

Good luck with all the paperwork and putting quite a lot of money into a Malaysian bank - which you can’t take out very easily.

I think Ben’s a Remainer.....

I’m a Leaver. It’s not “a mess” - it’s a democratic decision taken by more than 17 million people.

Even if someone voted to leave the EU, I find it hard to imagine they would be happy with how it seems to be going at the moment...

I've always considered myself European. Having that taken away (and not having a say as I didn't get to vote in the referendum) kind of sucks.

We'll see how it turns out. I suspect most of the people that voted to leave will end up regretting it.

At this point, time will tell. Let's check back in three years time and see how we feel then, eh? ;)

Ooh, I didn't realise it was being released so soon. I wonder if they'll be showing it in Japan.

Back on topic, it could be a good time to buy GBP. Missed the boat slightly, but still good value if you believe that the U.K. won’t actually leave like a lot of “experienced financial analysts” are saying right now.

Disclaimer: beware the term “experienced financial analysts.....”

I would not mind though go there for a year and see if it could suit us.
...
Have you been there already for any extended visits? If not, then maybe try that first.
