Blue form => Hello Work

Hello,
Of course I will go and check with the Hello Work office, but I was wondering if anyone has experience with this.
I file the "Blue Form" for my taxes. I have a main 9-5 teaching job, but also had some private students and other income (dividends from Australia), so I have been filing the Blue form.
But from the end of March I will be finishing my contract at my main 9-5 job. My question is will I be able to collect unemployment benefits because I have lost my main job?
Also, recently I have only been teaching one private student, so my friend who helps with my taxes advised that it may be better to file a business closure form and file a regular tax return. Partly because I am not teaching much, and partly because of the unemployment benefits if I don't find a new job right away.
Thank you.
