Did it yesterday 😁

That guide assumes you *don't* want to submit online using My Number card, which means they didn't have to explain how to use Myna Portal, but if you do want to do that, you need to make sure you select My Number from the start and log in, otherwise you have to go back to the start and enter everything from scratch.

I usually pretend I don't have the card to make a draft, right up to the end where it generates a preview PDF. Then for the final version start again with My Number.

The other potential slip up is that there is only one chance to import XML data for e.g. Tokutei Kouza or Furusato Nozei (either via Myna Portal or upload) at the start. You can't go back and add one later without starting from scratch.

In the past years (and on the PC), you could always save the process after each step and (if needed) download the .rs.. file. With this, you could easier start over again with the previously entered data being available.

I had a look at using MyNa portal for all the 連携 things tonight (primarily furusato nozei), and it seems like it can do quite a lot of stuff now.

But after I asked an AI thing about what it thought about the terms of use, I decided to stick with the manual method of obtaining the XML data (I saw the warning about only being able to upload the XML data at the beginning and didn’t believe it the other day, but it does seem to be true… (why taxman people…). There was something in the terms of use that said they don’t have to tell me if they will start charging me money in future (!), plus I don’t really want all my personal data fed through their systems if I can opt out of it…

Is there an English guide for those of us who are not employees of Japanese companies, or have side incomes?
