Please suggest a charity

Hello all,
Recently I see ads on YouTube about kids (usually from single-parent families) who only eat one meal a day.
I would like to contribute something but I don't know a good charity to give to. I would like to get the most bang for my buck/yen with low admin and marketing costs.
There is a Catholic church not far from me and I guess they'd be pretty cost effective but I wonder if they run any orphanages.
I would like to donate in Japan particularly to kids living in Japan.
I appreciate any advice.

Second Harvest Japan (
https://2hj.org/) would be my recommendation.
They are well organized and extremely efficient.
You can setup a tsumitate donation on your credit card as well for them.

I've been donating to Second Harvest Japan for a couple of years now. It's tax deductible (same tax allowance as furusato nozei) too.

I know the O.P wanted one for Japan This isn't Japan-centric, but I do support Kiva. I chose a few countries and chose a few people who would like help. They invest it to help themselves and improve their lives. It does put a face to it, which I personally like. Just incase anyone is interested.

Thats OK. I don't think there is a perfect charity or organisation. We can only choose what we want to do and we can only do our best.
I also give to veteran charities but only the big national ones. I have a distaste for Mr Smith starting his own charity in Japan and suddenly being able to fund a big 4x4, a big new home, and send their kids to private school.(in Japan). Not too dissimilar to the family who ran Captain Tom's NHS charity.
We can only give to what we feel comfortable with. Kudo to the O.P.

By coincidence, I have been searching for a similar charity recently and came across the NPO Florence. It looks good on paper but does anyone know more about them? Info in English:

Thank you to all who contributed so far.
Florence (mentioned by 'Tokyo'
https://florence.or.jp/english/ ) looks interesting because it seems to match what I am looking for.
I will do some research into it and report what I find.
