spouse moving to different address (not divorce)

A slightly complicated matter, our son is going to take an entrance exam for a prefectural school outside of our catchment area. This means that one of the parents must have an address within the catchment area. Fortunately, we have a classroom in that area, so my wife has been able to change her and my son’s 住民票 to this area. It has been a real bureaucratic nightmare,(four hours spent in the local ward office) and it is not just the 住民票 that needs to be changed buy health insurance and child benefit and whole host of other things. Both Junior high school and the ward office were actually very helpful and they say this is done quite often.
They must be shown to be living in that area for a year after he enters the school. My question is we would have to put my wife’s 住民票 address for her tax return in February, would this have any effect on any tax allowances or different tax rates? At present in her tax return, I pay her about 80,000 yen a month as a working spouse and this comes to just under one million yen a year. From this month we have separate health insurance premiums because of this move.
I hope my son passes this exam......
