Hi all,
I was just wondering whether anyone here has experience switching from online brokerages like Rakuten/SBI to MooMoo? If so, would you recommend Moomoo?
I currently use Rakuten Securities and am planning to switch to Moomoo soon.
I came across a MooMoo advertisement online the other day and found that it looks attractive for several main reasons:
1. It offers user-friendly desktop apps (Windows and Mac) and smartphone apps (iPhone and android) in English and Japanese.
2. It offers considerably lower fees for buying/selling individual US stocks. See attached screenshot for a comparison of fees charged by Moomoo vs. Rakuten vs. SBC.
I am already switching to Moomoo but am curious to know if anyone has done it and recommends it.
I also noticed that Moomoo is doing an Amazon Gift Card referral campaign. This referral campaign offers a reward of up to 20,000 yen per referral. When you invite a friend to join, both you and the friend can receive rewards. The reward includes Amazon gift cards or cash credits that can be used for investments. See details of the campaign here: https://invest.jp.moomoo.com/referral24 ... "%3A122%7D
If anyone is already a happy Moomoo user, and if you want to participate in the referral program, I invite you to send me a direct/personal message through this forum. Since I am already switching to Moomoo, I would like to see if it is possible for someone to receive the free gift card or cash/stock credits.
In addition, if anyone here decides to switch to Moomoo after reading this Forum post, I'd encourage you to send me a direct/personal message and let me personally invite/refer you to Moomoo so that I can get a free Amazon Gift Card too.
I'd appreciate hearing from you.
All the best,
Dan Hougham

(moved to the promo code section)
I haven't looked into Moomoo. Having things in English is interesting. They appear to offer NISA accounts. Might have to take a closer look.

They have recently added Japanese mutual funds {Emaxis Slim etc} as well, one of their major shortcomings in the past.RetireJapan wrote: ↑Tue Nov 12, 2024 12:14 am (moved to the promo code section)
