Sign Petition for continue of issuing Rakuten points for Furusato Nozei orders

Post by tofusoba14 »

Hello All,

Sorry not sure if this got duplicated.
This community is super useful.

Seems there is a notice from government about stop of issue of points for Furusato nozei orders on Rakuten.
Ordering furusato on Rakuten is super beneficial so far, atleast for me. So i would really like if this continues.

https://event.rakuten.co.jp/furusato/an ... signature/

lets all sign the petition and hope they remove such a restriction...

I remember they took feedback for NISA and then introduced new NISA with very high limits.
So lets hope they take this petition and keep the current system as is.

Thanks

I think there is no chance of the government walking this back 😉

The whole Furusato Nozei scheme is utter insanity - reducing the overall tax take and generating reams of paperwork and complexity to boot.

It’s completely understandable the Government is trying to walk it
Back and cut out some of the freeloading in the system.. agree with Ben there is zero chance of a petition changing anything.

If there is ever a popular PM I’d expect him or her to use that scrap the entire scheme, I’m sure it is planned but the timing needs to be right.

Rakuten is insane if they think a petition signed by their users will change the government's mind on this. Everybody knows if you want to change government policy the best way is to buy influence via the Unification Church and/or arrange drinking parties with strippers for LDP bigwigs.
