Matsui Securities and points

Hi guys,
I noticed in an advertisement that Matsui Securities offers what looks like a lot of points for just holding funds (up to 1% a year)
What are your impressions? Is this sustainable, or likely to be reduced? And why do they have such a policy?

I think you are referencing this maybe.
https://www.matsui.co.jp/fund/fund-value-point/

If so, I think that "最大" is doing a lot of the heavy lifting in that flyer..

Have a look at the ポイント 還元率一覧PDF linked halfway down the screen which I think shows the actual amounts for each fund.

You'll see All Country there at 0.0175 which I think is approx what I'm getting from SBI.

Oh. So which fund do you need to buy to get that juicy 1% you might be thinking right about now.
I can see only one and it has an expense ration of over 2%. :o

Thank you for your good advice! I guess glossy advertising shouldn’t be taken so seriously…
All the same, even then their points seem to bad relative to the competition.
