Teaching adults ESL/EFL employment opportunities vs children

Hi all,

Anyone know of resources for employment to teach English to adults either in person or online? A friend of mine just completed a certification course to teach ESL and they do not want to (nor can) teach children. Most of the jobs I see around are for kindergarten or after school children classes. It's rare to see jobs for adult classes.

But I'm sure there are adult Japanese citizens who are still wanting to have an English class/teacher?

Thoughts? Thanks!

The market for adults has largely disappeared while I have been here (23 years). Economic conditions, rise of machine translation, less desire to travel etc. might be factors.

There are probably still adult schools and classes, but the kids market is much more important for English schools.

Not sure what the situation is now, but Berlitz used to be an adult only school.

Italki, and similar platforms. They have driven down wages it seems. Competition will do that.
