Hello! I would like some assistance in suggestions for opening a brokerage account as Japan residents. Non-American, besides Interactive Brokers, something with minimal barrier entrance, and offers a comprehensive stock options with a paper trail account.
I currently hold a Rakuten account but only for NISA, does anyone know if there is a paper trade account to follow with it too?
All help appreciated.

Rakuten generates PDFs for every transaction, and also periodic statements. As does SBI Securities.

@adamu thank you for your comment. A paper trail account is a one that you can simulate a trade without actually putting your real money.

Oh like a “demo account”.
Never seen those myself, for securities accounts. (I do see them for leveraged trading accounts like CFDs and FX though.)
Just me, but I would just get started with a nominal account like 1,000 yen and view it as learning cost, should you somehow manage to lose it largely / completely. I found demo accounts to be a bit like a game and so I didn’t really take it seriously.

Not a 'Paper Trail Account'. A 'Paper Trading Account'.
You can log in to Interactive Brokers as a 'Paper Trading Account' or as a 'Live Trading Account'.
There are two buttons under the 'Trader Workstation' Logo; 'Live Trading' and 'Paper Trading'.

Tydon,
Yes it’s paper trade, thanks for noting. (I am using my phone and didn’t realise that )
With interactive broker , do I need to deposit money, I saw that they have trial period, however I’m looking into whether it a little longer? Because that is actually my issue, getting access to their platform without actually depositing any cash to it(1mil yen)
I am still in the exploration phase, tried calling their number but it’s busy, and difficult during my working hours to access them.
Again thank you.

Hey Sutebayashi,
Hello, thank you for your response, however the objective is not to treat it as a “game” hence why no real money is being used.
