Hi
Anyone using Wise? I am just wondering what are the advantages?
I had a brief look at their site, seems better exchange rate, and lower transfer fees. They also mention a wise card, not sure if I need that..
Thanks

I stopped using the Japanese post office to send money to the UK.
WISE. Faster and cheaper and the amount of time I saved from sitting in the post office waiting over the years..... Invaluable!

You can also set up pseudo bank accounts in various currencies, with all the codes and numbers you'd get with a normal bank. So, for example, I tell my UK bank to pay to the Wise GBP account, then on the Wise site I transfer it to my Wise JPY a/c with a few clicks (at a favourable E/R), and finally tell Wise to pay my J bank the JPY.

Another satisfied WISE user here! Have used Shinsei GoRemit and the Post office. Wise is much easier with better rates.
The card is handy as well. Got one for my daughter to use overseas. Very easy to send her money online.

Re: wise.com
I have a Wise card but haven't used it yet.
Is it easy to use as a debit card overseas?
I read that it is sometimes difficult to enable the card in Japan. How did everyone do that?
Thanks in advance.

Sorry as I just saw your reply.
Actually, my daughter doesn't use the Wise card much. She normally uses the Prestia Global pass card.
However, I do sometimes transfer money to her (Wise to Wise acct) for free.
As for the card activation, I'm not sure how she did it. But she hasn't complained about it not working.
This probably doesn't answer your question but........
