Spouse applying for eijuken. Received request for additional documentation about nenkin kiroku (年金記録).
Request for additional documents: hihokensha kiroku shokai kaitohyo (被保険者記録照会回答票)which can be downloaded from nenkinnetto. Also requestiing hihokensha kiroku shokai nofu 1 and 2 [被保険者記録照会(納付 1 及び 納付 2)] which we cannot find at nenkinnetto.
Does anyone know what the difference between these documents and specifically the difference between nofu 1 and 2?
Appreciate any help and/or direction.

Sorry, don’t know the answer to this.
Just to say that when ppl get to the bottom of this, it’s exactly the type of thing which would be useful to summarise here:

年金記録に係る被保険者記録照会(納付Ⅰ及び納付Ⅱ)には、国民年金加入期間の年金納付状況や納付年月日などが記載されています。
It's a record of all your nenkin payments ever. Noufu 2 seems to be the record and Noufu 1 is the breakdown.
This is the sample on the above site

Actually, the above image seems to be just the 被保険者記録照会回答票, although your description is basically correct.
Apparently Nenkin Net doesn't use the labels「被保険者記録照会(納付1)」and 「被保険者記録照会(納付2)」, but I believe the information is your monthly enrollment/contribution record, which does exist on the site. You will have to confirm, however, whether printing out those pages might work.
If not, you should be able to obtain proper printouts from the pension office. 「被保険者記録照会(納付1)」lists the days on which the pension payments were made. 「被保険者記録照会(納付2)」is a list of what pension status you had each month, apparently using symbols to show such categories as Unenrolled, Category 1, Category 3, or Unpaid.
You'd think they could update their instructions for the digital age, wouldn't you.

I recommend you take the request from the immigration office to the pension office, show it to them, and get them to give you exactly what was requested.

This is excellent advice. Despite having a Japanese wife to help me with the documentation originally, we still had several requests for ‘more documents’ and it wasn’t at all easy for her to work out exactly what they wanted.

Adam is 100% correct. The
ONLY place you can get this document is the Nenkin office. You must make a request in person. There is no charge.
Bring that paper with you! This document is seldom requested and the nice person at the front desk who triages requests will likely be uncertain and refer to a more senior person.
In our case the very nice gentlemen disappeared for 20 minutes and reappeared with multiple printouts.
1. Gives a detailed account of your payment history for the allotted period.
2. Gives a very simple visual representation.
..................................................
Why do they request this? Simple, the Nenkin.net printout is considered insufficient by many examiners, despite the website assuring its appropriate proof. I expect there have been cases of fraud.
..................................................
Also bring you Mynumber card! I also have my Bluebook, but they prefer the Mynumber card now.
