Seems from 2024 they will revise annual NISA limit to 3.6M JPY per year (with lifetime limit of 18MM)
https://www3.nhk.or.jp/news/html/202212 ... 71000.html
So what I am confused about is few points below:
1. if a person for consecutively 5 years invests the 3.6M limit, he or she will run out of NISA and have to invest with taxable account ?
2. Also the 3.6M is divided in 1.2M to investment trust (emaxis type) and 2.4M towards individual stocks, so not sure if they want everyone to be turned as stock analyst ? investing such huge chunk is individual stock sounds so risky (maybe for me atleast).
Let me know your thoughts...
NISA Amount Revision
Re: NISA Amount Revision
We've been discussing it on this thread.
Basically, we don't know anything yet but your number is probably correct. They want to stop really rich people from becoming richer.
For number 2, no, it just means you have to buy investment trusts with the 1.2M and then you can whatever you want with the 2.4M (along with investment trusts).
