Changing brokerage account for my NISA

Hi!

Found this forum to be very useful for newbies like me :)
I have a question I was hoping anyone had experienced before.

I am planning to change brokerage account (I am currently with Rakuten).
The reason for this is that I am changing jobs and it will be very convenient to move to a brokerage firm that automatically sends trading reports to this company which Rakuten does not provide.

I am searching online however my limited Japanese language gets in my way :(
I was wondering if I can cancel my NISA in Rakuten then open a new one in the new brokerage firm (haven't decided what account should I open).

I only started my NISA account this year and I haven't bought much so it will be fine with me to go to that direction.

Any help is appreciated. :)

My understanding is that you can open your 2019 NISA with a new broker, but cannot move your current Rakuten one (unless you sell everything and take the money out, but even then you would not be able to reopen the NISA).

Thanks Ben!
I just found one useful info from Rakuten. Apparently it is possible to change online broker but you can do it on the following year.

NISA口座を他の金融機関に変更できますか?
はい。変更できます。ただし、NISA口座開設後に一度でも取引しますと翌年まで変更できませんのでご注意ください。

I will go with the option of opening a new account next year with the new broker.
