Hi,
Just wondering if anyone has recommendations for good and cheap antivirus for Windows 10 OS?
I was using Norton, which cost be 4,700 Yen for the last year, but they are now requesting I pay 15,700 to extend it for another year...
BitDefender seems to be a cheaper alternative not sure how reliable it is though..
Thanks

Personally I just use Windows Defender for my laptop. No issues as yet.

So far, I have been using Free AVG for years and has been enough protection for me.

I think the best advice I can give you is, avoid suspicious sites and check the URL before clicking anything.

Windows defender, no need to augment the attack surface. Chrome/Edge should also detected whenever you download something malicious.

I use Sophos (works on Mac and Windows). ¥4,500/yr for up to 10 devices.

Thanks! all for the feedback
In the end went with BitDefender which cost me 2,500 Yen for the year
Just seems hacking attempts getting more widespread these days...
My NetFlix got hacked last month
My Yahoo mail got hacked the other day
After installing BitDefender on my PC it notified me the other day that someone was trying to gain access to my PC via the internet..

It sounds like an issue with account/password management.
Do you have unique, significantly random, passwords for all these accounts? Who else has your credentials? Are you using two-step authentication?
Perhaps a subscription to a password manager would be a better idea.
