Hello,
I would like to start a Tsumitate NISA for myself, however my Japanese language skills are terrible.
With respect to my poor Japanese skills:
1) Will I be able to apply for a Tsumitate NISA at any of the following online brokerages: Monex, Rakuten, SBI
2) Once my applications is successful, how difficult will it be to navigate the system to set things up?
3) Which of the above brokerages would offer the best English support?
4) Am I better off applying for a NISA through my SMBC bank, (knowing there are higher fees), hoping there is better ways to communicate?
Regards,
NISA & Japanese Ability for Applications & Operating

1. Yes. I use Rakuten, mostly on Google Chrome with automatic translation from Google Translate extension.

Sometimes some weird translation comes up, but mostly works like a charm with a little common sense.
2. See 1.
3. I assume None.
As someone mentioned recently in one of the other threads here, investment is a contract with us, the platform and the fund provider.
So, the "risk-averse" Japanese people do not wish to be trapped with customers' bad Japanese interpretation or their own bad translation, for that matter.
4. I think once you start it with any of the brokers that you mentioned, you'll find it quite OK-ish to navigate. (not too difficult)
(btw, are you getting English support at SMBC?)
