Writing a will

Post by grampus »

Having been here in Japan for a while now, I think it is time to write a will (just in case).

Are there any UK online services that are recommended?

Cheers

A seminar I attended for Canadians strongly recommended you have a Canadian will for Canadian assets and a Japanese will for Japanese assets. Whenever possible have an executor in each country. This is regardless of specific rules countries have but defaulting to another country's will.

I imagine it would be the same for the UK. Also be very careful of foreign trusts holding anything in Japan, as the Japanese government does not really recognize them.
