In 2020, when sending mail to the US was "questionable" due to the COVID-19 situation, I took advantage of the IRS's offer to use a free, online service. However, I could not find a way to file the Foreign Earned Income Exclusion 2555 form. I filed it anyway and then sent a paper version later with an explanatory letter (which was subsequently accepted at a much later date).
I'd like to do that again this year but wanted to check with the group to see if anyone had any newer experience with this.
Cheers,
Rich

Re: Filing US taxes online - Form 2555 possible?
I've always mailed mine, and always via registered (書留). Yes, they're slow and backlogged, but I'm old fashioned and I want the physical receipt (proof) from the PO with sender and receiver's addresses on it.

I filed my 1040 and 2555 for 2021 electronically using this website:
https://www.freefilefillableforms.com/home/default.php
I had no problems and it was relatively painless.
