Pension amount guaranteed?
Pension amount guaranteed?
Sorry, stupid question here. When I decide to retire and take my pension (let’s say 65), is the amount I receive guaranteed until I pass away, or will it be adjusted over time? For example, if my pension at 65 is 100,000 yen will it also be 100,000 yen when I’m 85?

It will be adjusted for wage growth and/or inflation. Please see this page of RetireWiki.jp for details (section "Pension adjustments" near the bottom):

Almost none of that article is written by me. It's chiefly Moneymatters, Kuma, and CAM. That's the beauty of the wiki.northSaver wrote: ↑Thu Apr 07, 2022 10:11 amYou're welcome. Thanks for writing so much of the rest of it!
