Hello smart people,
Does anyone own stocks related to nuclear energy / uranium mining etc.? If so, what do you own and why? Hot tipoffs onegaishimasu.
Cheers

This was a big topic of discussion about a year ago in some investment forums I participate in because there was/is a uranium shortage. I don't own any of these ETF's and I am not sure about their availability in Japan but URA, URNM and NLR are in this space. I think URA and URNM are more tied to uranium itself while NLR has more nuclear energy exposure and partly because of that the larger gains have been in those first two ETF's. I have no idea how long their run will last and again I wasn't wise enough to get any of these ETF's so my only exposure is through total market indexes.

Commodities (uranium) and Tech, design and construction (reactors and enriching equipment) are very different markets. I would not touch them as the politics involved, and general volatility in the Energy sector, creates way too many unknowns.
Regardless of how much of a "sure-thing" nuclear seems to be for helping us bridge the renewable gap.
A lot of risk, not worth the small potential upside. Stick with broad indexes imo.
