Low cost funds

Everyone knows about eMaxis Slim and the SBI V-series (at least I hope you know about the V-series which are a series of Vanguard wrappers by SBI) but I came across a new fund from a Google News push notification called Sompo 123 with a 0.077% management fee (!!). Its a developed countries fund and I was excited to find it until I started reading and found out it was an active fund. 0.077% for an active fund seems insane to me but what do I know. The 123 is the number of companies they invest in which only covers 1/10th of an index like MSCI Kokusai so I don't know about the wisdom of buying into this but its an interesting idea. Online resources like shintaro are hopeful that something like this catching on might encourage eMaxis or SBI to lower the cost of their developed countries funds so its one thing to look out for.

This is the fund: https://site0.sbisec.co.jp/marble/fund/ ... =14531121C and this is shintaro's post about it: https://shintaro-money.com/sompo-dmequity-launch/
