JP financial data source/API?

I recently found out that Portfolio Visualiser supports importing time series and defining new symbols, so in theory I could use it to compare Japanese portfolios.

However, I don't know any open data source or API I could fetch past data from.

Do you any?

Thanks.

There is no single API that I know of.

CSV files of eMAXIS Slim and MAXIS ETF prices can be downloaded from their respective websites.
MSCI index data is downloadable as excel files here.
Historical Yen/USD exchange rate data is available from FRED.
US-based stocks/ETFs/index data is available from Yahoo Finance.

If anyone knows of any other sources/APIs, it would be useful to collect & summarize these in this thread and on the wiki.

Perhaps you might find some of these link useful? (at the bottom).

It lists the research organizations that are connected to the TSE.
