Hi,

I've just got my Tsumite Nisa and will put 400,000 into one fund either global or sP 500 slim.

Each month I will have some extra cash to invest, each month will be different.
Im from the UK, and have a Rakuten sec and iBKr account ready to go.

Im a newbie so looking for some guidance,

many thanks

J

With the S&p500 You are 100% invested in American Large-cap.

You should consider adding

1. Developed market exposure (ex-us)
2. Emerging market exposure
3. American small caps

This all could have been done through an FTSE All Caps Fund like Vanguard Vt or its Japanese equivalents, or through an MSCI ACWI fund like Emaxis Slim all country.

The U.S is roughly half the market, Emerging markets 13-14% and developed takes up the rest.

(Frontier markets are not really worth investing in as the fund fees are too high, and the risk vs reward is not there).

With Emaxis Slim All Country

You are basically set, so many people just buy more of it in their taxable.

Optimizing.

1. Add Bonds
2. Add American small-cap value
3. Add a REIT tilt

You should start your IDECO if you haven’t already.
