(Spousal Visa-> PR) Proving Income/Assets - Are there official Certification from Rakuten/Monex

Hello, I was hoping for a bit of insight. I have just started the process of getting documents together for the PR application, and it is
overwhelming.

Now my bank account usually has 20万 or less*. All of my funds are invested at Rakuten and Monex. If I wanted to provide proof of these assets, is there an official means? Or is it as simple as an account screenshot?
*Our cash fund is in my wife's account.

I actually looked into this before and the answer is no or rather not easily. There's a yearly report they produce for tax purposes that you could download but until we reach the end of the year, you're SOL. Based on my research, it seems like they don't give any kind of 証明書 that's not for inheritance. (This is one argument against the internet only brokers/banks, they lack customer service and convenience that banks that have physical locations are able to provide)

Some banks (SBI) provide a certificate of balance you can print off if you don't have a 通帳.
For investments, I just printed off screenshots. But if your most recent asset statement (on SBI this is generated as a PDF every 3 months) is recent enough, you could use that.
You might want to consider building up a larger cash buffer, if only for the purposes of an application. I don't know what the requirements are for spouse applicants, but I think 200k is probably on the low side for demonstrating financial stability. However, the instructions do say that you can use the documents of the "supporting person" (申請人及び申請人を扶養する方の所得及び納税状況を証明する資料). So if all your money is in your wife's account, you could submit that with an explanation.
As always, for any doubts it's best to get together what you have and show it to the immigration office directly.

I agree with Adamu, your wife can be considered your supporting person, so a copy of her bank book should be fine. The section quoted in the OP’s post confused me, as it seems to be asking for proof of income rather than assets. No harm in sending proof of assets as well though.

I think this is a question about income, not assets. It's been several years since my PR application but I don't think a statement of assets was part of the process.

Thank you everyone for the insight. This will be a long process no doubt.
Is the consensus then, "a barrage of information"?
1. My bank account statement.
2. Her bank account statement.
3. My security account printouts.
4. Her security account printouts.
5. My infant Son`s bank account and sec. account.
All with an itemized cover letter?
I do not like the idea of building up a cash reserve over the next year. That goes against my investment philosophy. We already have an extremely healthy cash allocation. Sigh...

That sounds sensible enough. In theory, I don’t think assets actually enter into the official reckoning for PR. I suppose the thinking is that they want to see evidence that you are able to support yourself on an ongoing basis (i.e. income). I considered submitting proof of cash savings in the U.K. but as the form didn’t ask for it, I didn’t in the end. Whatever you do about proof of assets, I don’t think it will be a deal maker or breaker.

It's about income, but it does ask for a bank statement. Section 6 item 3 here:
https://www.moj.go.jp/isa/applications/ ... jyu01.html
It doesn't ask for investments, but I guess it doesn't hurt. The second legal requirement for PR is "Must possess sufficient assets or skills to earn an independent living".

Sounds good!

I applied (spouse -> PR) about a year ago and got accepted.
I worried about demonstrating financial stability, and opted for the barrage of information as my bank statement alone wouldn’t have been a decent barometer of assets. I compiled statements of all savings and investments with a coving letter and summary table.
No follow-up questions from Immigration on savings, though they asked for further detail on my ongoing freelance income.

Did an immigration officer suggest that you apply for PR? When I went to apply for my last spouse visa, the guy said it was about time to apply and gave me the form, explaining everything that I needed to provide. For evidence of income, I just supplied a copy of my bank book showing deposits from my employer. There wasn't much else in the account at the time, and my income wasn't particularly high. I got PR fine, but it took over 6 months if I recall correctly.
The barrage of information isn't going to hurt, but if you have a stable income and a couple of spouse visa renewals under your belt you'll probably be fine. Especially if you have kids.
