Leverage and CFD on Rakuten

Hello everyone!

I have recently stumbled upon a topic about leverage/CFD (Contract for Differences) and how some brokerage set you automatically to x2 leverage and CFD.My current broker is Rakuten and I was wondering what were the rules in this case..

It seems like most "basic" investment accounts use 1X leverage and no CFD when buying US stocks but those options become available when applying for an FX account (in the case of Rakuten).
Did I understand this right? I want to make sure I actually own the stocks I buy and not a CFD.

Hopefully someone can clear that up for me :)

Cheers!
