In my search for the stock picking guides, today I stumbled upon this site - https://www.buffett-code.com/.
It gives the ranking to companies in each industry. At first I got excited but looking little further, it seems to me that this site is simply giving the ranking in the order of total revenue, nothing much. Can't pick-up a stock just based on the sales revenue. Any thoughts on this site?
What are your criterias for picking individual stocks? Any help or guide in this regards will be highly appreciated. I know that investing in low cost diversified index funds is a way to go here but I just want to invest small portion of my portfolio in individual stocks for education and fun.

The site seems like a standard stock screener.
By default it ranks stocks by sales, but if you click on "条件検索" in the top left corner you can select and rank stocks by other criteria.

Ok understood, thanks. I would rather screen stocks on investing.com or tradingview if that is the case. Just working out which ratios to look for stocks selection and how to optimize them.fools_gold wrote: ↑Mon May 31, 2021 11:26 pm The site seems like a standard stock screener.

How are others picking up their stocks here? Would love to hear some thoughts.

I start with a theme and this will impact how I screen. For example, Inflation is a theme. So I filter on companies that do well with inflation (commodities, precious metals, etc.). I’ll look at P&E, debt, PEG ratio, beta (I behave poorly with highly volatile stocks), and then I start looking at things like leadership, product pipeline, geo exposure/risk, etc. I recently started looking for some fixed income and I found I needed to look at different filters. I needed DIV yield and DIV growth in the mix and I cared a little less about debt.RMA wrote: ↑Tue Jun 01, 2021 12:57 amOk understood, thanks. But I got lazy and found some newsletters that are much more efficient and effective than me at sorting through this stuff!
