Simple Investing Advice?

I have been wanting to invest for years but find the Japanese sites impenetrable.
I finally decided to simply put some money into a Rakuten RoboAdvisor despite all the warnings on this site and others about the extortionist fees.
I would be happy to hear suggestions/recommendations from others for someone like myself who has minimal interest in learning the market and will passively invest.

For what it's worth, I don't think the roboadvisor fees are extortionate. They are too high compared to just buying simple index funds, but for people that don't want to bother with them they are better than just putting money in the bank or under the mattress, and much better than the offshore ripoff 'advisors'.

However, you miss out on the tax savings of NISA and iDeCo. I would recommend at least using those, and maybe just buying a simple global index fund in each.

But it can be dead simple, and you can avoid so much in fees...

.....................................

(a)

If you want dead simple and conservative, put 100% of your funds in this.

-> Vanguard global balanced (https://www.rakuten-sec.co.jp/web/fund/ ... 90C0004GZ7)

.....................................

(b) If you want very simple but more aggressive, put

STOCKS

90% in this -> World Equity Fund (https://www.rakuten-sec.co.jp/web/fund/ ... 90C000H1T1)

and

BONDS

10% in this -> Advanced Country Bonds (https://www.rakuten-sec.co.jp/web/fun ... 90C000END3)

.....................................

(c) More or less aggressive? Adjust the percentages of B as you please.

More Stocks = More aggressive
More Bonds - Less aggressive / Risk-averse.

.....................................

It is that simple

Don't waste time trying to learn about investing. Stop trying to penetrate the seemingly impenetrable sites. Investing is dead easy, as Kanto stated above. All the advice you need is there. Figure out (once) how to push the "purchase" button for those products, and then repeat every month or whenever you can. Don't sell. Ignore everything else as noise. Do that, and voila, you will have outperformed 80% of active investors, professionals included.

What, no crypto, no NFTs, no margin? :-).

Agree with Kanto’s reco and wish I did it 20 years ago. It’s a fabulous way to go. If you want to learn more and experiment, there seem to be endless rabbit holes to go down.

Thanks, I fixed that link.

This is what I meant.

セゾン・バンガード・グローバルバランスファンド
Saison Vanguard Global Balance Fund

https://www.rakuten-sec.co.jp/web/fund/ ... 90C0004GZ7
Explanation-> https://shintaro-money.com/saison-vanguard-gbf/

Here is the description from Shintaro-Money

A fund that invests in multiple asset classes (for example, domestic stocks / bonds, developed country stocks / bonds, etc.) with one fund is called a balance fund. In many cases, the cost is higher than combining funds of individual asset classes, but balance funds do not require troublesome rebalancing, and it is easy to make a casual investment.

Target date funds would also be a great set and forget. But, well this is just simpler for someone who feels overwhelmed. A bit bond-heavy though.

I'm seriously thinking about putting a sizeable portion of my savings into Rakuten Securities using Kanto's option (b).

But before I do, the Advanced Country Bonds link seems to be broken. Could someone post the correct link? Thanks.
