Question about delaying the pension

Hello,
Thanks to everyone for the answers for my previous question regarding koseinenkin.

My next question concerns the benefits of delaying the start of a pension. I have heard that if you delay the start until you are 70 you can receive about 40% more. Am I right in understanding that this only refers to kokumin-nenkin and not kosei-nenkin? Or does this refer to both? Any thoughts or comments would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

I think it refers to both. The postcard I received included a graph showing the benefit at age 65 as 1,781,962 (厚生年金 of 1,281,552 and 基礎年金 of 499,962) and the benefit at age 70 as 2,530,386 with a message above it saying that delaying to age 70 can increase the benefit by a total of up to 42%.

Here are the calculations (assuming you were born after 1941!)
