Any recommendations for a business bank account? My accountant advised going with an online bank but wouldn't recommend a specific brand.

I currently only have individual accounts with Japan Post Bank and Sony Bank. When I visited Shinsei and PRESTIA, they told me that they cannot provide business banking services.

I cannot recommend Mizuho from own experience. I heard similar bad experiences from the other mega banks.

some of Mizuhos weak points:

• supports only internet explorer with certificates

• incredible outdated gui

• expensive fees

• password reset is done via snail mail!

Internet Explorer??!! But I guess Mizuho will be forced to switch as it’s bound to be discontinued in August 2021.

I just registered a kojin jigyou and opened a bank account at Japan Net bank.
Super easy process, all remote, well explained on their website.

Thanks for the heads up! I guess in April Japan Net Bank will change to PayPay Bank, which seems like positive news in terms of technological progression. Did you consider other banks as well but decided on Japan Net Bank through word of mouth? Also, any English support?

I would be more curious not about the application process, but about the actual usage at all. But I also have hopes that online banks are more modern here.

My kabushikigaisha uses Japan Net Bank.
For the most part, it's a hassle-free experience.

Excellent news!! As tax time approaches, I guess the million yen question is, how straightforward is producing .CSV files for one's accountant for blue form deductions?
