Hi RetireJapan,
Quick question.
I have just realized that a Mutual Fund I invested in (many years ago) actually reached maturity in mid 2019.
I am currently in touch with my "broker" in Japan (yet to receive a reply), to redeem the cash, but given the time-frame, this has got me seriously concerned.
Should I be worried about getting my money back? Or is unclaimed money held for a relatively long period of time?
FYI, this is the fund; Man OM-IP AHL 2010

Thank you!

How much time have you given them? They may need to dig up your file if you have not been in contact with them for a while.
I am surprised they did not contact you. Did your contact information change since you last contacted them?
A call may be the best approach.
Re: Mutual Fund Maturity Cash Redemption
Hi, yes, with all fairness I only recently contacted them.
Yes, my mailing details have since changed which is probably why I didn’t receive directly from the fund.
In any case, my biggest concern is just the timing.
I’m pretty sure the “broker” will get back to me.
I just wanted to calm my nerves in advance,..

So over the last five years, 10k has dropped to 8k...?!?!
That chart would not be calming my nerves. (And I'd hope that it would not be or have been rolled over into something new.)
