AIM market (London)

Back in the day I used to invest in several companies listed on the AIM in the UK:

At the time I used Hargreaves Lansdown. I made some decent money investing in small oil exploration companies.

Is there any way to invest in the AIM from Japan without having a share account in the UK?
My old account with Hargreaves has since been closed down.
