I have always paid my National state pension and sales tax for my school by credit card. However, from this month in Kitakyushu we can now pay city, property, vehicle and public health insurance by credit card. Unfortunately you have to pay a small service commission for credit card payments which wipes out any real gain from airmiles/ accumulated points. At present for the state pension they don't charge a service commission, but for sales tax they do, not quite sure on the logic there....
