Wife has a brokerage account in Japan - does she need to file a tax return?

For the past few years, my wife has been a stay at home mom with only some bank accounts and no income.

This year we opened a brokerage account for her on SBI (with the goal of opening a NISA next year). Will she have to file a tax return? Or can we do a joint declaration on my return?

Or maybe nothing to do? I believe that she went with an account that directly takes out taxes from the dividends.

If she has a tax-reporting account (特定口座), I believe in principle she won't need to submit a tax declaration unless she wants to do something funky with losses.

Thanks. That's our understanding as well.
I do have a tax accountant helping us this year (paid for by my company) so I'll ask just in case.
