final newbie questions:

for the kakutei shinkoku ,do you send this electronically or send by post to the local tax office?
have applied for the mynumber card and it states about tax etc being done electronically if have it (e-tax)
can i only do this after i get the card(will be next yr)

sorry-for all the questions
Sadly its all still manual. Even the cities that allow you to do it electronically only allow you to print out the form. You still need to fill it up and send a photocopy of your mynumber card/notice.

Some useful info relevant to this topic, from an email i received from furusato choice.
They will provide from January 2022 a one sheet with all donations made in 2021, downloadable from their website.
Makes the tax declaration a bit smoother i guess.

Mid-March I believe.

A summary will be helpful, but be sure to keep your receipts, as the tax office may request a look.

Yeah, but if you get audited they will probably want individual copies. Better to have them than not.

I just read the email, and it does seem that the summary will now be official. My guess is that relieves the city of the obligation to mail everyone receipts, but we'll have to see.

The tax office did request them from me last summer, so better safe than sorry.

Are you submitting a Kakutei Shinkoku? Or did you do nenmatsu chousei with your company? If you did nenmatsu chousei and you applied for onestop for furusato, the municipality you made the furusato donation to should be sending you a form to fill out and then send back to them. They will contact your own municipality to reduce your residential tax bill.

If you're doing Kakutei Shinkoku, I think the form is with the tax office. You will also need to submit the summary of furusato donations you made (whether from the provider you bought it from as a summary or from the municipality you applied to as some kind of receipt)

i did mine with onestop and also did nenmatsuchousei.

my wife has submitted nenmatsuchousei at work but she needs to submit the furusato nozei..
as i understand , she cannot do one stop as have medical bills to submit as well for the kakutei shinkoku(400,000yen)

so as I understand she needs to submit a separate kakutei shinkoku with just the medical bills and furusato nozei on it...

or will this be a problem as she has alreadt done nenmatsuchousei at work?
is it ok to submit two separate ones??
